Notes:

For years Women's suits fell into 2 categories: air hostess pencil skirt or Hillary Clinton pant suit.

But women's tailoring is having its moment right now.

You have to be careful with double-breasted suits to make sure the excess fabric doesn't drown the wearer.

This bottle green double-breasted suit, for artist Bea McCosh, uses a heavier cloth to achieve a structured waist and flared hip for a modern, flattering silhouette. The wide peak lapels balance the tapered waist. Paired with tapered pencil trousers and trainers this suit looks comfortable and relaxed.

The colour is warmer and more interesting than a navy, and complements her beautiful paintings (seen in the background of the first photo).
